Terms and Conditions for Training, Consulting and Presentations

Robert receives many requests for training, consulting and making presentations each year. As a consequence he needs a fairly long lead time to schedule and certainly to cancel an engagement. The following information outlines his current terms and conditions for a typical engagement. (Obviously, Robert will make exceptions in special cases, but these are his usual requirements.)

The financial responsibility of the sponsors includes:

• His fee of $3,500 per day (for 6 contact hours).
• His round trip airfare from San Francisco or San Jose, plus any other ground transportation that may be involved. (This cost is divided amongst all the sponsors of a particular trip. For an overseas flight it usually amounts to $800–$1000 per sponsor.)
• His hotel accommodations. (His room needs to have DSL service available so he can have access to the Internet and e-mail in the room.)
• His meals and any other living expenses.

In planning or proposing dates, it is important to keep the following factors in mind:

• The week-ends are the first dates to fill up, usually by sponsors with whom Robert has a long-standing association. If you can sponsor a seminar during the week, you may have a better chance to book dates. You can check Robert’s schedule to see what times are more likely to be available.
