Community Leadership Project

From Vision to Action
Environment Group

Vision is that in 2017 individuals and communities have beliefs, values, attitudes, capabilities, and behaviors that support their health and the health of the planet. In relation to that vision we are gardeners for a living earth.and the fountain that waters, nourishes, and energizes all life. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all living beings. We want to do this because we believe that all life is sacred, and that diversity is beautiful and essential for life. We believe the planet and our life are in danger, and we can work together to make a difference. To accomplish our vision and mission we will use our capabilities to identify, model, and teach the beliefs, values, attitudes, capabilities, and behaviors that promote health, harmony, and high quality of life in all the various parts of the world. Our plan is to model previous successful projects for their protocols and results; send out preliminary questionnaires and do interviews with many groups; share these results at a conference, from which we will identify the beliefs, values, capabilities, attitudes, and behaviors that sustain and nurture life; and finally disseminate these experiences and results via media (including the Internet), seminars, curricula for children, and coaching, including coach of politicians. A set of six linked projects have been identified to carry out this plan. In accomplishing these activities, we will seek partnerships and information exchange with interest groups having similar goals and/or resources which could forward these activities. We will initiate this plan in own communities starting now.
